Our main source of contact and communications is www.lst1157.com where many of the ships records etc will be kept.
We will have a newsletter, hopefully quarterly-depending on the amount of data etc that is presented to us.
We have already had one mini reunion, in 2003, which was attended by about 15 people and are making arrangements for a second one. This also will be �driven� by response and participation.
I am maintaining a data base which is for my records only and is available, on request, to former Terrell County members who have their data on file.
We have a membership fee of $50.00 which can be made in a one time payment or in installments if you wish. The reason for the fee is to finance the web site and any mailings we have, plus phone contacts and actual costs when it comes to gathering Terrell County records etc. While some think this is not enough, supplemental income can be raised at reunions, and the sale of hats, shirts, sweat shirts and the like which are available now. Coffee cups, key chains and the like will be made available if there are enough requests to make if affordable.
Naturally donations will be happily accepted at all times.
Those that join the association will be given a Membership Card and those that join prior 01JUN04 will be issued a USS TERRELL COUNTY (LST-1157) ASSOCIATION PLANK OWNER
CERTIFICATE�. As the fund grows, bumper stickers and decals will be made available for sale.
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO BELONG TO THE TERRELL COUNTY ASSOCIATION TO
BE IN THE DATA BASE.
As long as you are in the data base, I will give your info to former crew members that request it, or, if you desire, will contact you if someone is trying to get hold of you.
In the present web site we have a section called �Terrell County Association� which is controlled by a password, which is given to the Data Base people only and we are in the process of having another password control section which will be for dues payers only.

Thank you for contacting me in regards to the Terrell County Association.
The goal at this time is to locate as many people as possible that served on the Terrell County during her career in the United States Navy, March 1953-March 1971.
